  Well what can I say, a front filling (minor ) no needles which the procedure has a code of 522 under the Australian Dental Authority has a average recommend cost of $160 across Australia with NT being the most expensive and some states less. After my first visit for this procedure and receiving a bill for $226.00 I will never be visiting again. No excuse for higher price with a 10 - 15 minute procedure in total and not needing additional work that would cause a increase in cost it is obvious that this business being the only public Dentist in town is trying to either retire early or just has no understanding or concept of a fair price. I don't mind if they were a little over the average but $66.00 over the recommended is to much, hence a nice Latte and lunch in Ballarat next time at a dentist who observes the recommended pricing code will be a far more enjoyable experience than the visit I had at the Ararat surgery.
