  I would not recommended this place!! we booked this hotel online, we added specific notes to say we would be checking in after 3pm as we would be travelling from Melbourne and would be uncontactable. it then proceeded to ask for payment type, i selected cash and it then asked me to provide my card details which I did and a large note came up saying " WE WILL NOT PROCESS PAYMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE CHECKED IN" we arrived in Ararat and got phone service we had missed calls from the hotel that they had given our room away!!!! we had 3 young kids in the car 40 degree heat and nowhere to go, after I spoke with the owner she said "we have too many problems booking online, someone came in last minute so we gave it to them" i couldn't believe what I was hearing!! an hour of calling around the AMAZING staff at the central hotel helped us and gave us a room at a discounted price. say to say I will never stay here and wouldn't recommend booking them as you may arrive and your room could be gone!

  What a great find. One of the nicest motels I've stayed in and unbelievably quiet given its location on the highway. Will definitely be back.
